A business delegation led by Matti Anttonen, Under-Secretary of State for External Economic Relations for Finland, visited Belarus during the third week of September.

Four member companies of Agrotechnology from Finland Growth Program participated in the delegation. During the journey, visits were organized to several relevant business and administrative organizations, like EBRD (European Bank for Reconstruction and Development).

This delegation trip was outstanding for the Finnish agrotechnology companies – not only in establishing valuable contacts with the local authorities but also in creating concrete business opportunities. “We had really good negotiations and as a result of these meetings, we are now preparing new offers, with a worth of over 3 million euros”, told Juha Nisula from JPT-Industria.

During the delegation journey, the companies also participated in the 5th Belarus-Finnish Economic Forum. “In my view, the most interesting part of the seminar were the thematic workshops. I took part in the Agricultural and Food Processing Industries session”, said Margus Müts from Antti-Teollisuus Oy.

To gain visibility for the Finnish agrotechnology know-how, the Growth Program organized media activities with the support of the local Team Finland operators. As a result, Finnish agrotechnology solutions received positive coverage in several local agriculturally focused publications.
